I’ve added two new smashed can paintings to the store. Both have the same character in them, but with different collage elements around them. Forcast is in red tones and Goodluck is in blue tones and each is $120.00 + $5.00 US Shipping.
I’ve also resolved to do a better job photographing and documenting my work this year. So, I purchased a pair of lights to better light my work while photographing it. I used the lights for the first time on the above photos. I think they are much better, but I still think I can improve on these photos. Maybe later in the year I’ll spring for one of those fancy digital SLR cameras.
I got a lot of love recently in the form of links. So thanks go out to BRDCST.net, CSS Tux, CSS Import, CSS Remix, Web Creme, Urban Retro Lifestyle and CSS Elite for hooking me up. Also, thanks for all the kind emails and comments.

These cans look very nice. Would it be possible for you to disclose on how you are able to flatten & paint on these cans?

Sure Justin, I either find them crushed already or I flatten them with a 5lbs mallet. Then I use gel medium to fill in the larger gaps and make the surface as smooth as possible.
